Want to know
how to keep your punches sharp longer? Spray oil on the spot before you
punch the hole. This will slow down how fast the punch gets dull which
is even more important when punching holes in stainless steel or 2024-T6,
7075-T3 aluminum. Normally the punches will get dull twice as fast as
the die, which is why you should buy twice as many punches as dies when
you are planning a big hole punching job.
