Fast and smooth frame design:
The Aluminum frame design of the "Gator" provides many benefits such as an overall lighter weight allowing the "Gator" to have faster acceleration, greater speeds, and better corner performance. The wide footprint and tapered back brace allow the "Gator" to be stable over the full speed range of the machine giving it unequaled performance. The spiral brushed Aluminum frame does not peel or crack like other painted machines. This allows the "Gator" to be cleaned easier and maintain a long attractive life span.

Drive System:
The “Linear Positioning” crossdrive system was engineered to be stable and accurate. By engineering a more efficient motor transport system while still maintaining our Rockwell C60 linear V-rails and our compact carriage assembly. The "Gator" is another reason why DACC cutting machines are creating new standards in machine performance.

3D Manufacturing Company builds CNC Plasma cutting tables in 2 types available in a variety of configurations for you. Start with the model EL or the Razor Cut Precision. Choose the table size, power supply, controller and options such as downdraft ducting.

The EL plasma tables come in 4' x 8' and 5' x 10' sizes. These tables are built with an extra 2" in both length and width of the cutting area to allow for easy positioning of full 4' X 8' or 5' X 10' sheet of material, respectively. A rear park zone is provided to simplify loading by moving the gantry and torch mount completely clear of the cutting surface. A similar front park zone makes changing torch tips easier since the torch is clear of the cutting surface and easily accessible. It comes equipped with a smoke evacuation chamber that can be easily connected to an air filtration system. This is a welcomed advantage in today's EPA regulated manufacturing environment. The Razor Cut Precision plasma tables come in 4'x 8', 5' x 10', and 6' x 12' sizes. These high end tables are built with an extra 2" in both length and width of the cutting area to allow for easy positioning of full size sheet of material. A similar front park zone makes changing torch tips easier since the torch is clear of the cutting surface and easily accessible. This is especially useful with the larger more complex tip assemblies used on the Ultra-Cut® and Spirit® Power Supplies. It comes equipped with a zoned smoke evacuation system that decreases the size of the needed air filtration system by 80%. This is a welcomed advantage in today's EPA regulated manufacturing environment.

Each Razor Cut Precision is equipped with a segmented table grid allowing easy replacement, and zoned evacuation/scrap collection chambers which minimize the dust collector size thus reducing the cost of the dust collector. A wide selection of power supplies is available to suit the individual needs of the customer. The table is constructed of 4 X 6 structural steel tubing welded and machined for accurate location of the gantry rails and gear rack. The gantry is also constructed of 4 X 6 structural steel tubing mounted to the rails on aluminum side plates using dual linear motion bearings on each side which gives smooth, rigid, and accurate motion. The Z axis mount rides on the gantry using dual rails and four linear motion bearings giving it smooth, rigid, and accurate motion as well. The Z axis mount holds the cutting torch securely and accurately and like the X and Y motion is controlled by the Promotion iCNC. There is a park zone on each end of the table allowing easy access for material positioning and removal. A front end park zone allows the torch to hang over the end of the table making access for tip removal and replacement much easier.

3D Manufacturing provides several torch height controllers to meet your application. Light sheet metal and HVAC users will find the plate follower easy to use and highly reliable. Customers cutting heavier metal, especially pieces that are not perfectly flat will prefer the Thermal Dynamics SC-11.
Those doing High Definition cutting with expensive torch tip assemblies will prefer the Kaliburn Inova with its gimbaled breakaway mount that protects the torch should a collision occur.

CNC Controllers and Drive Motors:
The system is controlled by a Promotion iCNC Controller capable of running a variety of CAD/CAM formats. It allows rapid accurate positioning for multiple work areas, and is equipped with automatic limit switches to prevent over travel of the gantry and Z-axis mount. On start up the controller uses the limit switches to locate the side and end of the table. Once it does it backs off to a predetermined location and establishes the absolute zero location for the machine. It is then programed with predetermined soft limits which slow the machine as it approaches the edges of the table, in jog mode, and stops it short of the limit switches which now serve only as a secondard safety device. The rugged drive motors are geared to provide up to 1000 inches/second repositioning speeds when it is necessary to relocate the gantry for material positioning and removal. They are spring mounted to insure full contact with the drive track, which eliminates backlash and variation in transit speed due to gear lash inherent in fixed systems. Control cables are fully shielded to prevent high frequency interference from high power and high definition plasma power supplies. Position sensing is done by resolvers which are more tolerant of noise than encoders.
The Controller is equiped with dual processors One exclusively controls the cutting operation while the second controls WindowsXP and the nesting and previewing window. This allows the machine to cut a program without interuption while the next set of parts are being loaded and nested. Included in the software package are many basic shapes that are regularly used in manufacturing and basic replications. Also included is a fully capable copy of ProMotion Nest which can add and change pierce points, nest pieces and change the cut order.

It runs in ProMotion CNC Controllers but it is also available as office software that can be used with any CNC cutting machine capable of reading ESSI or EIA cutting programs. From CAD-Drawings to Cutting ProMotion Nest is powerful software for creating efficient cutting programs directly from standard (DXF) CAD drawings.
